Industrial HubSpot Theme Design & Development

Challenge

Towards the end of 2020, HubSpot hosted a HubSpot Themes Challenge Hackathon. The goal was to increase usage of their new themes vs. the drag and drop templates used in the past. There were various cash rewards available to the winners of the contest.

Solution

I decided to enter the contest as a motivation to learn the new HubSpot themes development workflow using the command line. After doing research, I noticed a majority of the themes were ideal for SaaS or service-based businesses. So I decided to focus mine on the industrial industry segment. I designed page templates that are commonly seen on this type: product category, product detail, leadership team, resources, blog, and landing pages.

Results

I didn't win any of the prizes but my theme was accepted into the marketplace. Being received in the HubSpot asset marketplace validates my competence and ability in designing and developing a custom HubSpot theme.
